Scope of Work
- Site Visit & Initial Assessment
- Visit the Fuel/CNG Station and assess the tank and surrounding area.
- Review the tank condition and available access points.
- Identify visible sludge, dirt, deposits, water accumulation and corrosion.
- Plan the cleaning activities based on the tank condition and site requirements.
- Safety Preparation & Tank Isolation
- Establish the required work-zone and safety controls.
- Ensure the tank is properly isolated from the operating system before cleaning.
- Follow applicable site safety requirements, work permits and confined-space procedures where applicable.
- Carry out atmospheric/gas testing and other safety checks as required before personnel enter the tank.
- Manual Removal & Initial Cleaning
- Remove accumulated sludge, sediment, dirt, debris and other solid contaminants manually.
- Collect and remove the waste material from the tank in a controlled manner.
- Perform an initial water-based cleaning of accessible internal surfaces.
- Surface Cleaning & Corrosion Treatment
- Thoroughly clean internal tank surfaces using suitable tools and cleaning methods.
- Identify areas affected by rust/corrosion.
- Remove loose rust and surface contaminants using appropriate mechanical/manual cleaning methods.
- Where required, apply suitable rust-removal or surface-treatment procedures according to the condition of the tank.
- Detergent / Cleaning Powder Application
- Apply suitable industrial-grade detergent/cleaning powder to the internal surfaces.
- Allow sufficient cleaning action to loosen oil residue, deposits, grease and contaminants.
- Mechanically agitate/scrub the affected surfaces where required for effective cleaning.
- Water Jet / Final Washing
- Thoroughly wash the internal surfaces using clean water and suitable water-jet cleaning methods.
- Remove remaining detergent, loosened deposits, sludge and contaminants.
- Continue washing until the internal surfaces are visibly clean.
- Final Cleaning & Waste Removal
- Remove remaining water, sludge and waste materials from the tank.
- Ensure no significant cleaning residue or loose contaminants remain inside the tank.
- Dispose of collected waste in accordance with applicable site/environmental requirements.
- Final Visual Inspection
- Conduct a final visual inspection of the cleaned tank surfaces.
- Check the tank bottom, shell, ends, internal fittings and accessible areas.
- Record any visible corrosion, coating deterioration, pitting, damage or other abnormal conditions.
- Completion & Handover
After completion of cleaning and inspection, the tank will be handed over in a clean and serviceable condition, subject to the agreed scope of work and inspection findings.
